Betty Rosbottom writes a weekly syndicated column called "That's
Entertaining"
for the
Tribune Media Services (formerly The Los Angeles Times Syndicate),
which appears throughout the United States. She=s
also a frequent contributor to Bon Appetit Magazine. She has
authored American Favorites (Houghton Mifflin 1996), First
Impressions (Morrow 1992), and Weekends With Friends (Williams
Sonoma, Time Life Books 2000).
She is also the author of The Big Book of Backyard Cooking
(Chronicle Books 2004), Waffles (Chronicle Books 2004), and
Coffee (Chronicle Books 2005). Her latest book, Sunday
Soup will be published in the fall of 2008 by Chronicle Books.
In 1976, she founded the nationally recognized La Belle Pomme Cooking School
in Columbus, Ohio, and served as its director until 1995 when she
moved to New England.
Betty is the Cooking School Coordinator for the Lamson and Goodnow
Cooking School located in Northampton, Ma and also teaches there.
She also leads culinary tours to France and teaches there
as well. She has served on the board of directors of the
International Association of Culinary Professionals and is a
Certified Culinary Professional.
She has done extensive television work, including a PBS series on
entertaining, and has made several appearances on national
television, including "The Today Show". She has been the national
spokesperson for the American Dairy Association and for Smithfield
Lean Generation Pork Products.
